Day 24

Getting things done.  First off I got a bunch of parts ordered and am way excited.  Secondly last night I got my radiator installed.  I was almost done and I had one bolt left...I dropped it and it has yet to be found.  I made do with another one but only after I searched for 35 minutes.  Coincidentally I found one exactly like I lost out on location today.  Very confusing.  Pictures....

Day 37

Day 37 Came and went without much change.  I did get some parts ordered, and thanks to the help of my uncle and his old business I get a killer discount at the local autoparts store.  I ordered everything and they told me it would be here on thursday so maybe I will get to work on it this weekend instead of the house...well then again maybe not.   We will see how my beautiful wife feels this weekend.

Starting it off

Well kind of....Shortly after I bought it I got the itch to make it bigger and better. Since then it has been nothing but busted nuckles, long nights, and one unrelated trip to the urgent care. So for now I will update with some pictures and some comments on what has been done and what still needs to be done. My goal is to have it running and operational by my birthday. Which is in 38 Days.....



















New valve cover and realization that my motor is sitting about 3 inches too far forward.

















































Got the motor put into the correct place and the tranny and x-case mounted. Recently I was cruising on Craigslist and this guys was selling a bunch of CJ parts. I got a set of Terraflex REVOLVER Shackles for CHEAP. Very nice find. Tonight I installed the drivers side shackle. Notice the high tech, safety oriented jack I used.

Still to do...or I guess I should say what I think I need to do.

• Install new wiring harness I ordered last night.
• Install Radiator
• Fix Drive shafts
• Hook up vacuum lines
• Get seat belt for rear seat
• Hook up throttle cable (incidentally called accelerator cable)
• Order and Install exhaust
• Install other shackle
• Bleed brakes and clutch line
• Fix anything else that needs fixing.
